Welcome to our web site!
Our mission: To encourage and educate people on how to Pray the Rosary.
|
 |
In the early days of the church,
Christians used a rope with as many as 150 knots in it, each one representing a different psalm to help them remember the
teachings of the bible. So effective was this method of prayer that even those
who could not read or write were able to learn the psalms and remember their teachings.

Through time, changes have been
made to the rosary and it is believed that Mother Mary appeared to Saint Dominic and asked him to spread the word about this
powerful method of prayer to people all over the world. Today the rosary is made up of 5 sections or decades each containing
10 beads. Each decade represents a set of mysteries or a portion of Jesus’
life. The first set of Mysteries is the Joyful Mysteries representing the birth of Jesus and his early life, followed by The Sorrowful Mysteries representing the passion and death of Jesus. The Glorious Mysteries
being the Resurrection and ascension into heaven. In 2004 the Late Great John
Paul II dedicated the newest Mysteries naming them the Luminous Mysteries representing the miraculous events in Jesus’
adult life.
